East-West Walking Tour
Description

Florence is well known to be the cradle of the Renaissance, but in reality it's during the Middle Ages that the city became so immensly rich and powerful. So it was less the Medici than the merchant Republic. In fact it is during this time that most of the grandest buildings where constructed. We will follow the thread of the "republican Florence" and visit the areas of Santa Croce, Bargello, Palazzo Vecchio, Orsanmichele, the Cathedral and Santa Maria Novella.
