San Lorenzo
Description

The San Lorenzo church is one of the turning point of architecture, where Brunelleschi made his ideas of the first Renaissance into bricks and stones. Not only, it is the Medici's family church, becoming their mausoleum over generations.

Together we will visit the church, the Sagrestia Vecchia by Brunelleschi and Donatello with works of Verrocchio and the Sagrestia Nuova by Michelangelo, the only place where the great artist realized statues together with the architecture meant to host them. We will also see the Cappelle Medicee, the mausoleum of the Grand Dukes, where all the wealth of 17th century Florence flew.
